MLM Duplication…What Does It Mean?
If you’ve been involved in network marketing or an MLM Business for at least 1 day, you’ve heard the term “MLM DUPLICATION”. It is said to be the key to your success in building your organization and there is no doubt that this is true. You MUST be able to leverage others to build an organization into the 1000s to start really making the money in MLMs.

That’s the definition of MLM Duplication. People doing the same thing. Each doing their share. BUT…
My question for you is “Does MLM duplication refer to doing the same marketing strategies that is making someone else successful or does it mean duplicate the effort of the successful?” In my humble opinion, it’s the latter.
There’s an old saying that “You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink”. While it’s a little outdated, it still holds true and makes sense. I’ve learned in my time in network marketing that I can be completely transparent (which I am) and share everything that I’m doing to make money and build my business but still most won’t duplicate.
Trust me, I’ve fumbled and bumbled my way into getting sign-ups so I know that you don’t necessarily need to be the slickest marketer out there to build your business and make money. What I do very well is I TAKE ACTION and CONSTANTLY EDUCATE MYSELF.
PLUS, there are very successful marketers and MLM business builders who use very different marketing strategies that work. There are some who have used the old-school family and friends strategy (which would not work for me) with great success and others who use the internet and claim to never call a lead. There are others who use Craigslist, Postcards, Magazine Ads or SEO and get a great response. That’s why I think that it’s not necessarily the strategy that you use but rather that you use A strategy. That’s what I consider EFFORT.
Most marketers, myself included, are always seeking simple & duplicatable marketing strategies that will work well enough to enable everyone to achieve some level of success. Then we roll-out our strategy(s) to our teams and what happens? Some take action but most do not. Why is this? I’m not entirely sure of the answer to that question. I can surmise that life gets in the way of building their business for many would-be marketers (job, kids, etc). For others, marketing or “selling” goes so much against their grain that they really shouldn’t be trying to build an MLM anyway. Then, and I hate to say it, I also think that “laziness” comes into play as well.
So, do you agree with me that MLM Duplication means duplicating the marketing strategies or duplicating effort? I’m curious to hear what you think!

Be Accessible. I cannot tell you how many leads AND sign-ups I’ve received just because I make myself accessible. Just because I answer my phone and call people back. Or respond to emails. I mean, you can see what I look like (for better or for worse 
), find my real email address and cell phone number, connect with me on Skype, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and many other places. AND, I answer my phone! Don’t hide behind a picture of your dog or no picture at all. Why wouldn’t you answer your phone or call back prospects? This “tip” is really common sense but you can really set yourself apart from a majority of your competition just by being “human” and having some business sense!

Guaranteed Visitors. There are advertising sites out there that will Guarantee you traffic to your website (views) from a targeted demographic that you select. This type of advertising is very simple to set up and is extremely low cost. Another key is, because it’s so cheap and simple, it’s duplicatable by anyone (ie. your downline!). It’s not the highest converting form of advertising out there but it will generate cheap, targeted leads for you. Take a look at my favorite HERE.

Social Media. Social Media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and others) is where it’s at online nowadays. If you are marketing online, you absolutely MUST at least have a presence on these sites and be relatively active. I’ll tell you from personal experience, and I am by no means a social media rock star (whatever that is lol!) that it works. These sites offer a tremendous opportunity to network and build relationships with like-minded individuals. I’ve made sales from social media sites and consistently generate really solid leads. Business Cards or Drop Cards. It amazes me how many “marketers” don’t have business cards printed up as part of their marketing plan. If you go to work as a sales person or executive for a conventional business, they’ll give you business cards. Business cards are a very inexpensive marketing tool that should be considered a requirement. You can either hand them out OR just leave them around town. This should not be your only marketing strategy but should definitely be something any network marketer does when they start a home business. Lead Scraper. I wish I had known about this tool a year ago. This simple piece of software allows you to “scrape” the internet for names, emails, and phone numbers of any niche or company you target. For example, scrape for a particular MLM company and you’ll have an immediate list of 100s or 1000s of network marketers you can begin to build a relationship with. You’ll never be without leads again! There are a lot of lead scrapers out there, many are very expensive. I use one that’s inexpensive and gets the job done. Take a look HERE.

Blogging. Having a blog is, in my opinion, imperative if you want to succeed by marketing your home based business on the internet. Personally, I think it’s also a good idea for offline marketers in today’s day and age. It provides your prospect with affirmation that you are a professional and that you take your business seriously. In addition, through article & video marketing and other traffic generation strategies, your blog can become a lead magnet and help your business grow exponentially by providing you with free, targeted leads. Pay Per Click. I can’t tell you how often I get asked “I understand what a lead capture page is for but how are people going to see it?” The answer is marketing! If you’re using a lead capture page, you’re on the right track. But, you need to get it in front of enough eyes to start generating leads. Network marketing is a numbers game. 1 proven strategy that provides immediate results (and does not have to be super expensive) is Pay Per Click. Personally, I run PPC campaigns on Yahoo/Bing (forget about Google if you’re a network marketer) and what they call “2nd Tier PPC” sites (sites that offer PPC advertising on sites other than search engines. Learn some simple PPC strategies, set your budget to what you feel comfortable spending, and go for it. Tweak as necessary.

Email Marketing. Email marketing is a very inexpensive and effective way to generate MLM leads. There are numerous sites specifically for network marketers such as Viral URL and ListQuik, and there are ezines (online magazines) that will allow you to email their subscriber base. Personally, I’ve found that MLM leads you generate with email marketing may be better suited for either training products or lower cost business opportunities, but you’ll still be generating leads and building relationships and that’s the name of the game!

Preservation Of Wealth Review – What Is Preservation Of Wealth?
POW is a brand new entry into the gold & silver mlm niche, joining such companies as the over-hyped (in my humble opinion ) Numis Network. By the way, you can click this link to read my Numis Network Review. As of this writing, they are still in pre-launch with a scheduled launch date of April 2, 2011. Now, from my research it does appear that they had planned to launch officially last summer but then Numis Network launched and took the internet by storm. Preservation Of Wealth must have laid low and waited for the dust to clear!
Anyway, the management team has experience in both financial planning and working specifically in the commodities business, which in my opinion is a very good sign for anyone looking to join. With private MLM companies, you do have put your trust in the business plan and management team because there’s not much else you can really hang your hat on.
Preservation Of Wealth Review – The Product/Business Model
POW’s primary product is not necessarily completely unique…it’s silver and gold coins (sound familiar?). You can actually also purchase pure sliver bars. What does make them unique is that they’ve adopted the Costco or Sam’s Club business model. They make their money off of the membership fees paid by people who join and sell their coins at wholesale. This business model makes a lot more sense, for people who might join just to accumulate wealth and not build an MLM business.
Preservation Of Wealth Review – The Compensation Plan
If you are reading this review, you are most likely considering joining POW for the MLM business opportunity and are not just a coin collector! The compensation plan is pretty straight forward. The cost to join POW is a one-time payment of $249. There will be a monthly auto-ship of $9.95, to pay for your website as well as some new features that they will be announcing such as vision coverage, dental coverage, legal services, store discounts and the like (while I think it’s a little weird that they’re making this part of the product mix, I guess it goes with the whole “preservation of wealth” theme).
The compensation plan is a binary, with a $100 Fast Start bonus paid for every person you bring into the business. In addition, there’s a $100 Cycle bonus paid every time you reach $300 BV on both your left and right legs. Lastly, there’s an optional “Option-Ship” (auto-ship) of $99/month which gives you a numismatic silver coin (as of now) which is identical I believe to Numis Network. Every team member that gets on the Option-Ship gives you 50 BV to be applied to your team volume. That’s it. $100 upfront and $100 cycle bonuses. Pretty simple and straightforward. While the compensation plan may not be as potentially lucrative as Numis’s for the big hitters, it looks to be more lucrative for the masses.

I hope you enjoyed my Preservation Of Wealth Review. Overall, I think that POW’s business model is attractive. I also like the fact that their compensation plan allows the “average” network marketer to break even quickly and earn some decent income. I don’t think that the compensation plan will make people wildly wealthy but could easily earn reps a few hundred or thousand per month. If I didn’t have my hands full right now, I’d consider joining!
Now, of course, you need to understand marketing and how to build a business to earn a few thousand per month. While Gold & Silver is definitely a hot commodity (parden the pun) right now, you will grow your business much faster and larger by leveraging the internet. What’s up my friends? The weekend is closing in here in NY and I thought I’d finish my week with a blogpost letting you know What The Best FREE WordPress Theme For 2011 is. I get asked all the time by fellow Attraction Marketers who are looking to set up a blog if they should purchase a blog theme or just go with a free WordPress theme?
In my opinion, this is one area that you can save your money. Free themes are fine. The paid themes will not provide you with better SEO, even though they will make you believe that they will. Now, there are a lot of great looking premium WP themes so go for it if you want. I’m just saying it’s not necessary.
In fact, for my BLOG SET UP SERVICE I use a what I believe to be the Best Free WordPress Theme For 2011. In fact, I think it was the best WP theme last year also. And, is the theme that I am using on my personal blog. FLEXIBILITY 3.
I don’t know the developer personally (his name is Ryan), although he’s been terrific at getting back to me when I’ve had questions. The great thing about Flexibility 3 is, dare I say, it’s Flexibility! Seriously, and the ease of customization for those of us who may be technically challenged Through your WP Dashboard, you can change fonts, colors, upload your own header, and literally make 100s of customized changes. I have heard that the level of customization is very similar to the popular Thesis theme but they are easier to make with Flexibility.
