Last night I had the privilege to attend a webinar hosted by Brian Fanale and Norbert Orlewicz, the 2 Internet Rockstars that created MLM Lead System Pro. As a member of MLSP, the premier attraction marketing and network marketing system on the planet, members are given the opportunity to attend weekly webinars on strategies and tips on improving our business. Invaluable in my book.
Anyway…last night the webinar focused on how they were just regular guys who had risen from failure to become 2 of the more successful online network marketers in 2 short years. And about how they literally left nothing out when they designed MLM Lead System Pro. Lastly, their main point was if they could do it…anyone could.
The failure rate in Network Marketing is extremely high at around 95%. This is the same failure rate for anyone is a commission sales job and small business owner. But the reason for this high failure rate is simple: most people aren’t willing to work hard to reach their goals. The vast majority of people do not strive to improve themselves through education and are too lazy to implement any marketing strategies that might take a while to begin working. The 95% who fail will not invest in their education or self-betterment. Norbert had a good analogy regarding this point. In the back office of MLSP it is recommended to purchase Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring E-Book for $39, since the marketing philosophy of MLM Lead System Pro is based on the principle of Attraction Marketing. The purchase rate for this e-book by MLSP members is low. If you’re not willing to spend $39 on an e-book that is really revolutionary, how can someone expect to succeed? Great point, I thought (I bought the book by the way!).
Brian Fanale explained that after he graduated from college in 2004, he joined a traditional MLM company. The “handing out fliers and hotel meetings” kind of MLM company. He was not successful in that venture at all and was waiting tables to make ends meet. He had the mindset that he did not want to have a mundane 9-5 low paying salary job like his friends. It wasn’t until he discovered online network marketing that he began to succeed. He found a mentor who showed him the ropes and the rest is history, as they say. BUT, he invested in his education and still does to this day. That was the key take-away from Brian’s story. Never stop investing in yourself.
Norbert Orlewicz’ story was probably more typical for most long-time MLM’ers. He struggled for more than 5 years in traditional MLM. The biggest downline he had ever built in any company was…12! He was uncomfortable approaching strangers in shopping malls to ask them to join his opportunity. I don’t blame him there! Norbert was close to bankruptcy when he finally started to experience success online. Again, he invested and believed in himself and wouldn’t give up. Norbert then came up with the idea of MLM Lead System Pro and the rest is history, as they say!
My take away from the presentation is this…thank God 95% of the people in network marketing aren’t willing to put in the effort to be successful. That leaves the landscape ripe with opportunity and riches for those of us who are. It is too bad, though, because this is an industry where you can really write your own ticket and design a lifestyle for yourself in whatever mold you desire.

What is Pyxism and Should I Join?
If you are already investigating the Pyxism business opportunity, you are one of the lucky ones who have been given an early heads up on this terrific home based business opportunity.
Pyxism is a new discount travel based company on the scene. It’s still in pre-launch with the the official launch scheduled for January 11, 2010. How would you have liked to have been in on TVI on the ground floor? You would have made a killing! In my opinion, that’s exactly where we are with Pyxism. It is similar to TVI and Dream Style Vacation Club in that the compensation plan is based on a 2×3 matrix with 2 boards. You cycle the first board to qualify yourself (with only 2 direct referrals which qualifies you for life) and then you get paid $1250 every time you cycle the Compass Board (the first board) thereafter and you are automatically qualified to cycle the Horizon Board for $8000 each cycle.
What separates Pyxism from the others is the fact that it’s a True Follow-Me Matrix. You always follow your sponsor and your team always stays together. This encourages teamwork, which is very important in this type of compensation structure. In addition, many less members are required to cycle, so the cycling will be faster and make everyone who works at it a lot more money that a Forced Matrix. Those of you who know me know that I like to join businesses early to capitalize on the hype and make a quick buck. This is also true of Pyxism but not entirely. After attending the webinar and listening to the vision of Lloyd Wilson (the owner) for the business, I am convinced that this business is different. He’s not just looking to make a quick killing, but rather has a long-term vision that really spoke to me. He has a tremendous amount of business experience (unlike many program owners online) and has been in the network marketing business for over 12 years. He has been part-owner in a travel based business since 2005, which he recently resigned from but is still a viable business today. He’s not a program hopper, like many other owners.
Normally, to join a business that you plan to make your primary business and income earner, you would want to see a track record of at least 2 years. To make sure that the business is sustainable and isn’t going to shut-down after you’ve put in all of your hard work to build your business. This is definitely true but I think Lloyd’s track record is enough to go on in this case. Soon…like all business opportunity launches, the hype-train will begin and it will become difficult for you to decide which Pyxism team to join that can really help you succeed and which marketer is just good at blowing smoke. Top 10 Best Home Based Business – Global Resorts Network?
For another installment of my search for the “Top 10 Best Home Based Business” opportunities on the internet, I will take a look at Global Resorts Network. Global Resorts Network, or GRN, is another high-ticket online business opportunity that falls into the G.P.T. (Get Paid Today) category of Direct Sales. This is not a traditional MLM business.
I would like to point out that this review is completely unbiased as I am not a member of Global Resorts Network, nor have I ever been a member. The information that I am providing is purely based on the results of my research while doing my due diligence on the business for myself as well as to determine if GRN can be considered a 10 best home based business opportunity for would-be network marketers.
Longevity: The Global Resorts Network business opportunity is associated with a discount travel agency (Gold Crown Resorts) that has been in existence for over 20 years. For years, travelers have been buying the travel membership direct from the company. In 2006, Global Resorts Network was born as a network marketing arm for selling the business opportunity along with the travel membership. Since the average lifespan of an online business is less than 6 months, the fact that GRN has been around for over 3 years is definitely a positive.
Product: The product is a discount travel club membership that offers vacations to 4 and 5 start resorts for pennies on the dollar ($298 – $700 per week). The discount travel business is extremely competitive, and for the costs associated with it that I’ll discuss below, people are not buying the product as a stand-alone as often. The economy certainly has something to do with that as well. For this reason, people who join are exclusively joining for the business opportunity and then earning commissions by bringing others into the business and not from the sale of the product. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing because it is typical in network marketing but is worth pointing out. Members also have exclusive access to the travel club for their personal use.
Marketing System: This is where Global Resorts Network falls short of a Top 10 Best Home Based Business opportunity in my opinion. It doesn’t offer a truly turn-key marketing system, but rather offers up to 5 different systems. Depending on your sponsor, you will most likely use their system which may or may not be the best for you. And, the costs for the marketing system will range from $29.95 – $300 per month depending on the system. Having numerous marketing systems causes internal competition amongst the GRN members. If you look at the sales capture pages, many are geared not only to recruiting into GRN but you better use our system or you won’t succeed. This makes recruiting new members even more difficult.
Cost: The cost to become an independent distributor for Global Resorts Network is $1,495 for a Gold Membership and $2,995 for the Platinum Membership (their most popular membership level). There is also an additional monthly system fee of $29.95 – $300, depending on the marketing system you use, as mentioned above. In addition, you have your own advertising budget like any other online business. This is high, but not when you consider the cost of starting up a brick-and-mortar business in your town.
Compensation: It’s pretty simple. Global Resorts Network uses a compensation plan they call Perpetual Leverage. When selling a Platinum Membership, you receive $1000 and your sponsor receives $1000 ($500 for a Gold Membership in both cases). Then, whenever one of your direct referrals makes a sale, you will make $1000. So, to make six-figures in your first year you and your direct referrals combined will need to make 100 sales. They key to earning with this business is to build a strong team because your team will need to make a sale every 3-4 days.
Summary: I was turned off by the numerous marketing systems, which makes it very difficult to choose your sponsor. It’s difficult to figure out who is really successful and who is a poser. GRN would be a very difficult business for the newbie due to the costs and the competition from serious, experienced marketers. For this reason, I cannot say that Global Resorts Network is a Top “10 Best Home Based Business” opportunity.

Top 10 Best Home Based Business Opportunity – Carbon Copy Pro?
Here’s another article in my quest to find the 10 Best Home Based Business Opportunities available to the online network marketer. In this installment, I will give you a completely unbiased review of Carbon Copy Pro which is another high-end G.P.T. (Get Paid Today) program. I will preface this review of Carbon Copy Pro by telling you that I am not a member of the program nor have I ever been a member. The information provided has been learned while doing my due-diligence while researching the business.
Longevity: Carbon Copy Pro has been in business for over 2 years, having begun in October 2007. This is generally considered to be a good sign as the average lifespan of an online business opportunity is less than 6 months. Having been in business for over 2 years tells me that the owner, Jay Kubassek, is running Carbon Copy Pro as a legitimate business and wants to continue to grow it.
Owner: As I mentioned above, the owner of Carbon Copy Pro is Jay Kubassek who is based in NY. The feedback online about Jay is generally favorable and he is a very successful businessman. The company actually has an office in NYC with staff, which can be unusual for the home based business industry where even the owner operates the venture out of their house. This is a positive sign, in my opinion, that the company is generating enough income to allow them to lease very expensive NYC office space. This could also mean that they charge too much for the program!
Product: Carbon Copy Pro is actually not a product, but a funded proposal marketing system designed to market the Wealth Masters International product/business opportunity. Wealth Master International is a direct sales company that sells information on financial solutions through its books, DVDs, and conferences. CCPro charges a $39 application fee just to learn more about the business…but you can just Google “Carbon Copy Pro” and find out everything you need to know, which is what I did. Just a note too, they will waive the application fee in one of their auto-responder emails if you sign-up for more information and wait for that email.
Cost: This is where I feel that Carbon Copy Pro does not qualify as a “Top 10 Best Home Based Business”. There are many fees associated with the program, which will eliminate the majority of people searching for a legitimate home based business, even those willing to spend some money. You will have a $49 monthly fee for CCPro to use their system plus an additional $149/month fee for access to other services. Then, you will need to buy into one of the 3 Wealth Masters International packages – M1 = $1,995, M2 = $8,995, M3 = $19,995. I assume that most members join at the $1,995 level but do not know this for a fact. These costs are in addition to your monthly advertising budget since Carbon Copy Pro does not promote your website for you.
Summary: I want to add to that if you Google “Carbon Copy Pro”, you will see that there are over 1.2 million websites mentioning it. Many of those sites are promoting the program so that means that your competition will be stiff. Many of the people associated with the program are experienced marketers and many are successful with the program. It will be difficult for the newer or less experienced marketer to compete for their share of the pie, in my opinion. Carbon Copy Pro is definitely a legitimate business, just not one of the 10 best home based business opportunities out there right now. Do your due diligence prior to joining.

Top 10 Best Home Based Business – YourNetBiz?
In my quest to find the Top 10 Best Home Based Business opportunities online, I have been looking very seriously at YourNetBiz. I want to preface this article by saying that I am not nor have I ever been a member of YourNetBiz so I am not trying to sell you on this business opportunity. This completely unbiased review will contain my findings that I’ve discovered through my due diligence and a determination of whether or not this online business meets my criteria of being one of the 10 best home based business programs for the online marketing entrepreneur.
YourNetBiz falls into the category of high-end direct sales businesses. This is not an MLM (multi-level-marketing). The entry cost for membership of their Platinum product suite, which is their most popular membership level, is $2,995 plus $59.95 per month. You’ve probably heard the term G.P.T. (Get Paid Today). YourNetBiz falls into that category as you can begin earning substantial commissions immediately rather than waiting to grow a team of 1000s as you would in a traditional MLM business.
Longevity: The average lifespan of an online business opportunity is less than 6 months. Most of the compensation models are not sustainable business models. Plus the owners of the program just keep starting new programs and trying to capitalize on the hype of a program launch. YourNetBiz has been in business since 2007, beginning life as MyInternetBusiness. This is an eternity online and indicates that the owner of the program is running it as a business and not a get rich quick scheme.
Owner: The owner of YourNetBiz is Rob Hannley. Rob has a very good reputation online and amongst the membership. He’s very involved in the business, transparent, and listens to the membership’s recommendations on improving the program. This is almost unheard of. I have been in businesses where I didn’t even know who the owners were (I’m not proud of this)! He runs YourNetBiz like a business, which it is, and he doesn’t run any other businesses that I am aware of.
Product: Many online businesses forget that they need to offer a product! Or, at least a product of value. YourNetBiz offers value in a product suite of online marketing productivity and education tools. This includes software, e-books (not the ones you can find online for free like most lower end programs), weekly conference calls, and a recently added Discount Travel Club for the Platinum members. Lower level members receive discount travel certificates. In my opinion, the Discount Travel Club is a major addition to the product suite and puts YourNetBiz ahead of its main competition, Global Resorts Network (who only offers the travel club membership). The recent addition of a new product also shows me that the company is not standing still and is continuing to grow and ad value for the members.
Compensation: As I mentioned earlier, YourNetBiz is a direct sales or G.P.T. business. You make commission from your direct sales and an override from the sales of your direct referrals. One-Level deep to compare with traditional MLM. This is the compensation plan you want if you are looking to make substantial money quickly online. A G.P.T. program is the only way to make six-figures online in your first year. Using the Platinum membership as an example, you make $2000 on every $2,995 sale. You will then make $500 on every sale that your direct referral makes. $495 goes to the company. You can see how you can earn substantial commissions, particularly if you build a strong team.
Summary: It is my feeling that YourNetBiz definitely meets the criteria to be considered a “10 Best Home Based Business”. This type of business attracts serious marketers. People who are looking to earn a substantial income online. They are also typically more experienced business people and marketers. The competition can be stiff. For this reason, you really need to know how to market online effectively and have a proven system in place to ensure your success. Is Pyxism the Next TVI?
I’ve been researching the latest discount vacation club program that is set to launch mid-December in an effort to determine if it is a viable long-term business or will people be saying “PYX who” in 6 months? I take my network marketing business very seriously and am looking to add a potential big in.come earn.er to the mix. Let’s see..
The Pyxism Business Opportunity — Is it Legitimate?
Pyxism is a U.S.-based company, built on achieving success with integrity, ethics, and values, and operated by a team of dedicated professionals working together toward a common goal: commitment to win-win strategies for their Member’s long-term success and our company’s sustainable future.
That sounds great but…
I researched the owner of the company, Lloyd Wilson. No offense to the 21 year olds reading this but he has over 35 years of experience in the travel industry. That means a lot to me. That tells me that he knows a thing or two about his industry and about business in general. He started up a program in 2005 called the Platinum Travel Club which evolved into Platinum One Destinations and finally NetTrav, which continues to operate today. A business that operates for 5 years on the internet (an eternity in case you were wondering!) means that the owners are fully behind its success and created a business with value.
With many network marketing businesses offering no product or service, or if they do they’re offering e-books or software that you can usually find for free, it is absolutely imperative for your long-term survival in this business to offer a product that people actually want.
Is Pyxism the Next TVI Express?
As I write this today, 12/4/09, Pyxism is in pre-launch. This means that the business is not operating as of now so my opinion is based on my experience rather than actual data.
The discount travel club market is currently all the rage on the internet. A few that come to mind immediately are TVI, Dream Style Vacation Club, and Royal Cruise Matrix. All have popped up in the US this year, with TVI being the largest by far, with 200,000 plus members worldwide.
Being a foreign based company, TVI has had issues accepting payment and paying out to its members. My main question about Royal Cruise Matrix are how many people can make $25,000 over and over for a one-time payment of $100? Not many I suspect! DSVC just launched recently. While it has some appeal, it’s run by the same folks that run another program that has had some payout issues so I decided to stay away.
How would you like to have gotten in on the ground floor of TVI? Having 200,000 members below you in the matrix! How nice would that be? That’s called “hitting the lottery”. Time will tell if Pyxism can grow to those numbers but all indications are that it has a chance.
Make Money with Pyxism
Pyxism has a REAL FOLLOW-ME MATRIX where YOUR TEAM NEVER SPLITS away from you when your matrix is full, unlike the traditional matrix plan offered by other companies. In my opinion, Pyxism has everything that I’m looking for — value, track record, hot industry niche, large income potential.
