As serious network marketers, we are always looking for new MLM lead generation or advertising resources – that are cost effective and that WORK! I’m no different. I’m always searching for additional ways to market myself and my business. I just found a new site and my initial results are really good so I thought I’d share it with you!
It’s real easy to market with AdKnowledge.com. The kicker is they do require a $500 initial deposit to become an advertiser BUT it’s virtually set-it and forget it.

3 Simple MLM Tips To Explode Your Business
I wanted to share some very important, yet simple and seemingly apparent MLM tips that will help you to literally EXPLODE your MLM business starting immediately. If you don’t follow these tips, I really don’t think that you can succeed to ANY degree in network marketing. That’s how important they are!
MLM TIP #1 – “STAY FOCUSED”
This is extremely important to your bottom line and also can be very difficult, especially if you spend much time on the internet. If you’re like me, you receive offers daily to join the next “latest, greatest” business opportunity and THIS will be the one to finally put you on the fast track to reaching your dreams. It can be very hard to “look the other way” and say “no thanks”.
The fact of the matter is the MLM business model is very lucrative and every pay plan will compensate you similarly IF you work the business plan and recruit. BUT, if you hop from program to program you’ll never spend enough time building your business to make a substantial income. It just won’t happen.
MLM TIP #2 – “STAY CONNECTED”
OK, so you’ve chosen your business opportunity and are committing to yourself to stay Focused. But, that’s NOT enough. You need to make sure you “connect” with your new business and remain connected. What do I mean? Get on ALL company calls. Get on ALL webinars, upline calls, training calls, go to all events if there are any. You get the point.
The fact is most network marketers join a business and then NEVER do any of those things. They also NEVER make any money. You need to participate and stay connected.
MLM TIP #3 – “STAY MOTIVATED”
OK, so you’re FOCUSED & CONNECTED but you’re still not signing people up. You’ve been with your company for a month already and haven’t missed a call or webinar but you haven’t earned a cent! So, the negative thoughts start to enter your mind…NOT! MLM or network marketing is a numbers game. Most people WILL say “no” to you. But that’s OK, because you don’t need everyone to join your business to make a fortune. You just need a few of the RIGHT people.
It’s imperative that you maintain your “belief level” and stay motivated. Do not let negative thoughts enter your mind. If they do, you’ll be sunk.
These MLM tips may sound simple but they aren’t always easy. Now that you know what they are, there will be times when it’s difficult to stay the course. Don’t waver and success will follow!
7 Steps To Make Money In MLM
I was on the My Lead System Pro morning wake-up call this morning (which they hold daily at 11:00 AM EST) and thought I’d share with you today’s content because I think it sums up really well what you SHOULD be doing if you hope to hope to make money in MLM – especially A LOT of money!
When we were kids there was a game we played called “follow the leader”. Basically you had to do whatever the leader did and if you didn’t you were out of the game (at least I think that’s how you play…it’s been a long time!). Anyway, as an independent business owner or entrepreneur – which we all are as network marketers – following the LEADERS is a great way to learn how to be successful. Follow the people who are getting it done and who are where you want to get. Aspire to greatness and you just might get there!
The call was hosted by MLSP L4 Leader and EMT Member, Adam Chandler. He’s a guy you want to get tapped in to because he’s getting it done every day. Anyway, he shared his 7 Steps To Make Money in MLM and I wanted to pass them along because if you follow them you really can’t help but succeed!
7 Steps To Make Money in MLM
1. Get on all the calls & webinars (either MLSP or your Primary Company). This helps you to stay connected, focused, and motivated and is VERY simple yet effective.
2. Attend ALL live events. I have to admit that I have never attended a live event – the companies I’ve been associated with haven’t had any – but I did miss MLSP’s Live the Dream event last year but plan to attend this year. This will allow you to get connected with other like-minded people and only good things can come of that.
3. Do “personal development” DAILY. This just means reading about personal development and implement or work on what you learn. This includes working on your mindset, which tends to hold a lot of people back from reaching their full potential.
4. Connecting, Networking, and Prospecting Daily. The consistency is key and causes many people to drop out and never achieve their goals. If you aspire to greatness with your business, you must direct enough people to your website presentation daily to have any hope of success. This can be done both through online or off-line marketing strategies.
5. Mastermind “UP”. Connect with and mastermind with people who are either at or above your current knowledge and ability level. This is how you get better and grow as a person and a marketer.
6. Set production goals and be relentless about achieving them. Set daily, weekly and monthly goals. Don’t set income goals as much as setting production goals (ie. 5 presentations per day) that will lead to you reaching your income goals. Also, don’t set unrealistic goals that you most likely won’t achieve right away. Set goals that are a stretch but that can be achieved. This will help keep you motivated.
7. Journal your progress consistently. Basically, track your results on paper. This helps you to know your results because writing things down helps you retain that information. Also, you may feel that you were very productive one day and realize that you really didn’t accomplish anything! I know this happens to me!
It’s cool if you’re just a “hobbyist” network marketer. Most people are, either intentionally or not. BUT if you’re a true entrepreneur who really is looking to take their business to the NEXT LEVEL, start implementing these 7 steps and be sure to be consistent and diligent. It’ll pay off handsomely for you and you’ll make more money in your MLM business than you ever thought possible!
Just Put Your Head Down and Get To Work!
New people as me all the time what should the do…now that they’ve joined me in either My Lead System Pro or a business opportunity. Now, of course I don’t just say “Just Put Your Head Down and Get To Work” but that really is the bottom line!
I do a lot to support the people who join me, offering both marketing training and motivation. But the bottom line is if you never take any action on anything that you learn, what good is it? Did you get involved in network marketing just so you could throw your money away on something you’ll never use? I’m not going to go out and buy a powder blue leisure suit (although I looked pretty sharp in it back in 1979!) because I know I’ll never wear it. The same principle applies to making money in network marketing.
People who hop from program to program rarely make any money at all. The people who join a business opportunity, learn a few strategies of how to market it, and get to work are the people who succeed and make money in this industry. There’s no push-button formula or magic pill that works. Network marketing is a business that will reward you very handsomely for your EFFORTS (Hint: “Efforts” being the key word!).
If you don’t have the right mindset and believe that you will succeed and that you will do whatever it will take to succeed…it will be very difficult to get where you WANT to go. If you have the belief, but choose not to put in the work, it still won’t happen for you. You need both.
I’m currently re-reading Anthony Robbins’ “Unlimited Power”. It’s from 1991 and you can probably get it today for ten cents at a garage sale. There are many “mindset” books and tapes that you can buy to help you get over anything that may be holding you back from reaching your dreams.
Here’s a terrific MINDSET piece that my buddy, Mike Long, shared with me recently called “Cross The Line”:
YOU MUST “CROSS THE LINE”
cross: (verb) 1. to move from one side to another 2. to pass over mediocrity
With everything, there’s a LINE
On one side of the line is a greater chance to make good things happen (better results, better relationships, more responsibility). This is where you’ll find all those people you admire. People like Oprah Winfrey, Drew Bree’s of the New Orleans Saints, Kobie Bryant and Lady Gaga. Other famous Olympians, musicians and athletes. They made a decision to “Cross the Line.”
On the other side, there’s less of a chance.
And with each line, there’s a choice. You want to cross the line or you don’t. You want the better chance at making good things happen (meaningful things) or you settle with the lesser chance.
Your choice.
It seems simple but…
Then there’ll be those times – those times when in the short run it’ll seem like you can’t cross the line (no matter what you do). But then, those misses (those hurdles) in the short run will sometimes help you over the line in the long run (in a way you couldn’t have seen). They’ll serve as lessons, giving you more depth to your experience – making you stronger and better prepared for bigger and more important challenges you’ll face in the future.
But you won’t know that at the time.
At the time, you’ll just see that line.
And it might seem like a wall.
But it really is just a line (a line you want to cross).
And it’s yours to cross, but you have to decide (make that choice).
It seems simple but…
Then there’ll be those people – those people who’ve decided they’d rather not cross the line and would prefer you didn’t either (and unfortunately, sometimes those people might be your friends). Maybe they’ll sprinkle in a little doubt or withhold a little encouragement at just the right time (or even encourage you to do the wrong thing). Maybe they’ll be a little less subtle about it and just step directly in your way.
And then, every once in a while, there’ll be you – that inner voice that’ll try to tell you you’re not that special and that making something exceptional happen is for other people. (What are you thinking?)
Then there’ll be the work – the work that’ll be the real challenge that some people never face because of those times, those people, or that inner voice that keep us from putting in the effort and bouncing back when things get tough.
But there’s the line.
And it needs to be crossed.
And you can cross it.
It’s up to you.

MLM’ers…Put Yourself & Your Brand Out There!
This post strays from most of my writings. Most online sites…obviously social media sites but also advertising sites, your replicated company sites (the sites you get when you join your network marketing business), blogs, etc. all have places for you to put your picture and typically some information about yourself. At least YOUR REAL NAME!
BUT, I see so many “newbies” not take advantage of the ability to brand themselves a bit and let others learn about them or at least see what they look like. You have to remember that, with all of the marketing we do online, network marketing is still a people business and “people join people”.
You have to put yourself out there. It’s simple to do and costs nothing. I’m an Attraction Marketer and that’s the perspective that I’m coming from but I just do not understand people who are trying to “hide”. I mean, in theory you are trying to build a business – that’s why you got involved with your MLM I assume – but then you sabotage yourself right from the beginning to make it even more difficult than it already is. What are you afraid of?
Put your picture wherever you have the opportunity to do so, put your name everywhere you can with a real phone number or way to contact you…give others a glimpse into who you are, what you have to offer, and why you would be a good person to join with. I mean, why wouldn’t you do this?
Get on Social Media (it’s not just for the kids…I used to think this too ) and create a blog if you take your business seriously and want to market online. This will carve out your little piece of internet real estate and help people to learn more about you and help you immensely to grow your business online. It will also help you separate yourself from the many “network marketers” who will continue to remain anonymous and wonder why nobody is signing up with them.
