If you’re going through the 5-part email series on SEO (if you’re not but are interested in learning how you can generate free traffic and leads… CLICK HERE), you know that back-links (simply links on other sites linking “back” to your original article) are essential for ranking in the search engines – both for initially ranking high and then for the longevity of your ranking. The better your ranking, the more traffic you get!

Anyway, my recommended resource for getting backlinks is ezArticleLink. Why? Because I just don’t have the time or interest to undergo some major back linking campaign. Somethings you just have to pay for! And ezArticleLink is cheap (and good) as far as back linking services are concerned.

The problem is it’s can be very confusing to set up. For this reason, I’ve created the following step-by-step video that will walk you through all the steps (in plain english!) of how to get properly set up. I hope it helps!

An AutoResponder is an  essential tool that you MUST HAVE if you plan to market your network marketing or affiliate marketing business online. Why? Because building your own LIST is and then monetizing that list is how you will begin to make money online and eventually be able to earn enough to stay at home FULL-TIME.

Recently, it has come to my attention that many NEW marketers understand that the concept BUT do not know how to Set Up or Use their Autoresponder. In  fact, a  few  people I know have gotten their autoresponder accounts shut down recently because of inappropriate use. In the hope of preventing this from happening to YOU, below is a video tutorial to help clarify things for you as well as a short list outlining how to use an autoresponder to build your list.

How To Set-Up & Use An AutoResponder

• Get an Auto-Responder Account. I recommend the industry leader Aweber. You can get yours HERE.

• Create a “New List” in your Aweber account.

• Create a “Webform” for that list – this is the box where someone will enter their  NAME & EMAIL ADDRESS (and  possibly PHONE NUMBER) for more information. When they enter their information, they will be on YOUR LIST. You canNOT load a list of names into your auto-responder. NOTE: You must build your list through the marketing of your capture pages because people must “opt-in” in order for your list to be spam compliant.

• Paste the WebForm Code into your Lead Capture Page (or have your webmaster do this for you). It is always recommended to market a Lead Capture Page when marketing online. You do not want to just market your free company replicated website because those websites do not typically have a way for you to build your list.

• Create “Follow-Up” Emails to be sent automatically to people who put themselves on your list.

• Create “Broadcast” Emails to send to your list periodically when you have a special offer or want to provide some information that is not part of your Follow-Up email series.

There are tons of different marketing strategies that one can use to build their network marketing business and I’m going to share one with you today that I just learned about but have not tried yet personally although I plan to. Thanks to my membership in My Lead System Pro (you can check it out HERE, I have access to top-notch training 24/7 by some of the top marketers in the industry. This particular training was presented by one of MLSP’s leaders, Adam Chandler – check out his blog HERE.

This network marketing prospecting strategy is cheap, simple and easily duplicated (essential for MLM business building). The nice thing about it is that it doesn’t involve the internet or technical skills whatsoever! It involves using Cheap Yard Signs, a voicemail message, and your company’s presentation. That’s it!

How To “Cheap Sign” Your Way To Success

Step #1: Order your signs (these are called Realtor Signs or Yard Signs). A site that sells them is www.cheapsigns.com. Looks like you can get 100 shipped with the stakes to place in the ground for under $400. I’m sure there are plenty of other places that sell these signs as well so do your due diligence. 100 signs will go along way. You want to place these signs around town in high-traffic’d areas – busy intersections, highway on-ramps, etc.

Step #2: Adam recommended a YELLOW background with BLACK wording for the best response. Here’s an example of the sign that he recommends using…

Step #3: You’ll need to get an 800# or 888#. Personally, I use www.Kall8.com. It costs $2.00/month for the number and they bill per minute at a very low rate. We’re talking peanuts here. Adam recommended www.evoice.com.

Step #4: You’ll want to “weed out” your true prospects by sending them to a voicemail message so you don’t waste your time talking to tire-kickers and people who have nothing better to do than call numbers on signs! Here’s Jeffrey Combs “90 Second Voicemail Script” (which I use for another project) that’s simple and works:

Step #5: Follow-up with the people who sound like they’re legitimate prospects. Rinse and Repeat!

It doesn’t get much easier than that! I’ll let you know how I make out. I have personally never done any local recruiting but know that I need to. This is the perfect strategy to start with. Last night I decided to whip out some of my old “mind-set” books that I have, since I’m coming off of a kind of lazy month last month and want to re-energize myself and my business. Not that I lost motivation but I lost some focus. The 2 that I started flipping through are both “oldies but goodies”…

Norman Vincent Peale’s (he actually lived in my hometown) “The Positive Principle Today” (his follow-up to “The Power Of Positive Thinking”) which was published in 1976 and Tony Robbin’s “Awaken The Giant Within” published in 1991. While both are old, they are by no means outdated.

It was late when I grabbed the books so I just read a few pages from each and both sent me the same message…

THE POWER OF VISUALIZATION

Most of us who get involved in network marketing “WANT” the same thing…Time Freedom and Financial Freedom. SO why do most never achieve that goal? I truly think it’s because most people honestly don’t believe that they can. Why? Because we get beaten down by life and have become accustomed to a life where our time isn’t our own and finances are tight and we really can’t imagine anything else. Negative thoughts permeate our consciousness (not a good thing btw!).

I’ve used Visualization ever since I can remember. I used it for my golf game this winter when I couldn’t play and hit the ball the best I have in years my first time out last week (I still need to work more on my “putting visualization though!). I used it (unknowingly) when I got involved in network marketing. I only expected success and the idea of “failing” in this industry not only wasn’t an option but it wasn’t even a thought (even though some told me I was nuts!).

YOU NEED TO “VISUALIZE” YOURSELF SUCCEEDING WITH YOUR BUSINESS!

Norman Vincent Peale said to “activate imagination to image successful outcomes”. Imagine yourself buying a new car, a new house, taking a vacation – whatever it is that motivates you (paying your credit card bill on time doesn’t count!). Think BIG and do this consistently. The mind is very powerful. Now, this does mean to just be a dreamer. To just say “I’d really like to live in a nicer house” but then turn on the TV! The follow-up to Visualization is to “Energize” your images. Basically, take action. Take MASSIVE action and do whatever it takes in order to make your imagination become reality.

I’ve really never had a sponsor that’s mentored me at all. I just took massive action and figured out how to get things done (thank you, Google!). Don’t wait for everything to be handed to you. If something’s not working right or going well, find out why and fix it. We’re all entrepreneurs. While most are willing to help, at the end of the day it’s your income and your life and your dreams.

Never lose sight of your goals. Follow your dreams. Visualize specific success images. Take massive action.

While lead scraper software have been around for some time, I’ve just become familiar with them and wanted to provide you with my initial thoughts. Maybe you’ve been considering getting a Lead Scraper or maybe this is a lead generating tool that you aren’t familiar with. In any event, I hope my post will provide you with some insight.

What is a Lead Scraper?

A lead scraper is simply a piece of software that searches the internet for email addresses and phone numbers (and sometimes additional information) based on the parameters you put in. For example, since we’re network marketers looking to market to other network marketers for the most part, you might put in the name of a competing MLM company. In about 20-30 minutes, you’ll receive back a file of 100s or 1000s of email addresses or phone numbers of people who’s websites mentioned the targeted company.

The Benefits of a Lead Scraper

It’s a very cost effective way to get A LOT of relatively targeted names and numbers to market to. You will also get back some junk in your search that you’ll need to purge. This is purely a numbers game. You’re playing the mass-marketing game when using a lead scraper. The trade-off is it’s cheap. You can buy a scraper for under $100 and own it for life. What Do You Do With The Leads?

There’s a few different things you can do with the leads to convert them to prospects and sign-ups:

• Call them directly
• Send a Voice Broadcast to the entire list
• Send an Email Blast with a bulk emailer

I would recommend only sending 1 message to avoid numerous spam complaints.

I do not use a lead scraper daily but my thought is that we as marketers  should implement many different strategies  to see what works best for us. PLUS, it’s  a good idea to have at least 3 or 4 different strategies working at the same time. Using a scraper is very inexpensive and lets you find and market to a large number of prospects very quickly.

What’s up my friends? The weekend is closing in here in NY and I thought I’d finish my week with a blogpost letting you know What The Best FREE WordPress Theme For 2011 is. I get asked all the time by fellow Attraction Marketers who are looking to set up a blog if they should purchase a blog theme or just go with a free WordPress theme?

In my opinion, this is one area that you can save your money. Free themes are fine. The paid themes will not provide you with better SEO, even though they will make you believe that they will. Now, there are a lot of great looking premium WP themes so go for it if you want. I’m just saying it’s not necessary.

I have heard that the level of customization is very similar to the popular Thesis theme but they are easier to make with Flexibility.
