Brian Fanale and Norbert Orlewicz Talk About Becoming Internet Rockstars

Last night I had the privilege to attend a webinar hosted by Brian Fanale and Norbert Orlewicz, the 2 Internet Rockstars that created MLM Lead System Pro. As a member of MLSP, the premier attraction marketing and network marketing system on the planet, members are given the opportunity to attend weekly webinars on strategies and tips on improving our business. Invaluable in my book.

Anyway…last night the webinar focused on how they were just regular guys who had risen from failure to become 2 of the more successful online network marketers in 2 short years. And about how they literally left nothing out when they designed MLM Lead System Pro. Lastly, their main point was if they could do it…anyone could.

The failure rate in Network Marketing is extremely high at around 95%. This is the same failure rate for anyone is a commission sales job and small business owner. But the reason for this high failure rate is simple: most people aren’t willing to work hard to reach their goals. The vast majority of people do not strive to improve themselves through education and are too lazy to implement any marketing strategies that might take a while to begin working. The 95% who fail will not invest in their education or self-betterment. Norbert had a good analogy regarding this point. Great point, I thought (I bought the book by the way!).

Brian Fanale explained that after he graduated from college in 2004, he joined a traditional MLM company. The “handing out fliers and hotel meetings” kind of MLM company. He was not successful in that venture at all and was waiting tables to make ends meet. He had the mindset that he did not want to have a mundane 9-5 low paying salary job like his friends. It wasn’t until he discovered online network marketing that he began to succeed. He found a mentor who showed him the ropes and the rest is history, as they say. BUT, he invested in his education and still does to this day. That was the key take-away from Brian’s story. Never stop investing in yourself.

Norbert Orlewicz’ story was probably more typical for most long-time MLM’ers. He struggled for more than 5 years in traditional MLM. The biggest downline he had ever built in any company was…12! He was uncomfortable approaching strangers in shopping malls to ask them to join his opportunity. I don’t blame him there! Norbert was close to bankruptcy when he finally started to experience success online. Again, he invested and believed in himself and wouldn’t give up. Norbert then came up with the idea of MLM Lead System Pro and the rest is history, as they say!

My take away from the presentation is this…thank God 95% of the people in network marketing aren’t willing to put in the effort to be successful. That leaves the landscape ripe with opportunity and riches for those of us who are. It is too bad, though, because this is an industry where you can really write your own ticket and design a lifestyle for yourself in whatever mold you desire.
