Bon Voyage 1000 Review – Another Travel MLM?
Are you kidding? Another network marketing travel company! YUP…Bon Voyage 1000 has sprung onto the home based business scene in June 2010 and is receiving some hype. As you know, I am in 2 travel companies so I certainly believe in the niche – $8 Trillion Industry PLUS Everybody likes to travel, right - so I feel that I am well-qualified to write a Bon Voyage 1000 Review, to let you know the real skinny on the company and if it’s worth investing the $349 it costs to join.

The Company, Ownership, & Product
Bon Voyage 1000 is based in the Caribbean (for tax reasons I suppose…or is it more lax business laws?) and is supposedly owned by 3 people but I was only able to locate the names of 2 of them – Steve Sughrim and Steve Abraham (I can’t complain about their names lol!). The corporate website actually does not mention the names of the owners, I had do a Google search to find them.
The cost to join BonVoyage1000 is a mere $349 one-time with no monthly auto-ship. I do believe that this does keep attrition lower but I know from experience that it doesn’t prevent non-marketers from just quitting anyway. They’ll still have the product which is good.
The product SOUNDS like it’s backed by Horizon Travel. I do not know this for a fact but it sounds identical. You get a 4 day Florida-Bahamas cruise travel certificate when you join for $349. In addition, you receive a condo card and cruise card. The Condo card is the real benefit here, but you will need to travel within about 3 weeks of making your arrangements to get the $100 “hot deals”. Otherwise, you’re looking at more like $600-700 if you are like me and need to plan in advance. Still a great deal by the way!
The Bon Voyage 1000 Compensation Plan
You are not reading this article because of the product, let’s face it! You want to know how you can make money and IF you can make money, right! I’m going to tell you…
The compensation plan is based on a 2×2 follow-me matrix. Everytime your matrix gets filled and you have personally recruited at least 1 of the people in your matrix you will earn $500. If you recruited 2 people, you will get $1000. The follow-me feature is a good one as it rewards teamwork and keeps teams together. As with any 2×2, the possibility exists to cycle an infinite number of times. The cold reality is that most people will never cycle ONCE unless they either already know how to market their BonVoyage1000 business or are willing to learn and work at it. If you think you can join, bring in your 2 people, and then everyone else will keep bringing in their 2 people and you will cycle so fast your head will fall off, I hope I’m not breaking any news here when I say that won’t happen. You will need to bring in MANY more than 2 people to earn the money you desire.
Summary
It definitely appears that BonVoyage1000 is a legitimate business with a “real” product. The compensation plan looks to be very competitive and potentially lucrative for those leaders who are willing to put in the effort to grow their teams. With any brand-new business, time will tell whether or not they have the staying power. And, I’m curious to see how big they’ll be able to grow with the stiff competition they are up against in the home based business travel niche.

Hi Roger,
I am not involved with BV 1000 so I really couldn’t tell you.
If you’re looking for a travel business, I recommend Primo Vacations. Great marketing system and property inventory.

Hey Steve,
Would be interested in checking out Bon Voyage.
As you know all that matters in the Vacation Business is INVENTORY.
How can we see what your Resorts and Condo inventory looks like?
Thanks,
Roger
I’m not sure, Akindigbesi. I’m not involved with the business.
I am from Nigeria, I want to know if this is also applicable in Nigerian.

Hi Jacqueline,
Thanks for bringing us up to date! Looks like much has changed and for the better! I wish you the best with it.
Steve
Hello Steve,
I am a marketer for Bonvoyage1000. I appreciate your overview of the company; however, let me update you on a few items. BonVoyage has been operating successfully now for over 1.5 years and is in over 110 countries. It is registered in the US, not the Caribbean, with a sales office in Long Beach, CA. The Founder of the company is Steve Abraham and I understand Mr. Sughrim is no longer affiliated.
The membership no longer comes with the cruise certificate but does come with access to the amazing deals on Condos, Cruises and Hotels in addition to the full service travel center. Hot Weeks for $100 come out every week for the vacation condos (available within the next month) but for a planner like you, agreed the $400-$700 is still a great deal for 7 days for a 1, 2 or 3 bedroom condo.
The comp plan is simple and generous; sell 6 memberships and make $1,000 and you can do this over and over again. Spillover from your sponsor can count towards your six as can those sponsored by your down line through the follow me system But to make commissions you have to personally sponsor 2 people. BonVoyage also has a Leadership bonus program.
Hi everyone,
I can confidently beat my chest and tell anybody that cares to listen that Bonvoyage1000 is REAL! Not only being real but i have Cycled out $1,000 from Bonvoyage1000. Hi Nancy – thanks for stopping by and it’s good to see another Mortgage pro successfully running a network marketing business!
I don’t approve comments that link back to sales sites – Well, I did approve your comments but removed your links. If you have a blog or personal website, I’ll be happy to insert that link for you. Thanks!
Steve
…oops, almost forgot. BonVoyage $99 dollar deals are for ONLY 3 and 4 days/nights. Vested Travel’s Suite Deals (week on sale) database offers FULL WEEK STAYS for only $169. Yes, I meant PER WEEK. Because they are direct RCI affiliated their prices are lower than BV …no middle man (Horizon travel or Rovia). They also offer 3 seperate search engines of availability 5,500 resorts world wide, and over 2 million WEEKS available on a daily basis.
thanks for the scoop on BV Steve. Had looked at that before I found Vested Travel Club. VTC seems to offer way more value in the way of wholesale timeshare rentals, marketing materials tools and methods. They are affiliated directly with RCI and several other well known timeshare/travel related companies and the startup is only $199 ($179 if you use my guest pass code: NBREALTY-V99). When you join you automatically receive vacation rental guest passes you can simply hand out, when people join or book you make $100. At my level this is a annual recurring commission and if your prospects decide to join directly you can make up to $400 recurring, $150 travel bonuses, and 200 air-miles for every signup! They also feature an entire marketing and print center 1,000 full color 2 sided cards only costs me $16.66 and I can have a travel cert or condo pass added to it for FREE!
Hi Humayun,
I sent you an email. My recommended international “low-cost” travel business is Pyxism. They’ve been around for over a year, have all necessary licenses, and have an “A” rating with the Better Business Bureau.
