MonitiumAlright! I may have bitten off a bit much here in deciding to review Monitium, a company in pre-launch with very little information about it on the net. Nonetheless, after researching the corporate site and Google, I have decided to take on this nearly monumental task because I think I find the concept interesting and think that Monitium may evolve into a company we’ve all heard of in the near future!

First of all, let me say that I am not a member of Monitium (I have enough on my plate :) ) so you can consider this review to be purely factual with no “hype”.

What Is Monitium? Is It an MLM in Disguise?

monitiumThe first thing you will hear about Monitium is that it is not an MLM. It is a propriatary system that uniquely protects your genealogy. Basically, the concept is to recruit people into  Monitium and those people will fall under you as with a typical MLM. Then, the company will supposedly do their due-diligence and select MLMs for its members to join. You are not forced to join any of the chosen MLM companies, but the whole concept is to remove the RISK of building a team only to see your company go out of business. The idea is to be involved with multiple MLMs to spread that risk around and to create multiple streams of income. Think of it like investing in a Mutual Fund instead of individual stocks.

Right on their website, it  says “Monitium…Success System”. It is a system, in that you grow your MLMs through Monitium, with your downlines following you into each  MLM that you or they decide to join. Time will tell if this “system” is just a ploy to grow the downlines of the top leaders of the company or if it will really benefit the average networker.

Who Is Behind Monitium?

Monitium’s founder is Ken Eggleston. I Googled Ken. Ken states that he has been involved in the MLM industry for 16 years and, by all accounts, has been very successful.  The only company that I can be sure that Ken was involved with is World Ventures. He also started the 500K Success Team. I did not find anything negative about Ken, which is a very good sign for those of you looking to get involved with Monitium.

In addition to Ken, there is an Advisory Board already established with some industry players such as Jim Bellacera, Paul Morris and Ron Cook (MLM Watchdog Editor). Looks like  the company is  set-up for success.

How Much Does Monitium Cost?

According to the sign-up page, the initial order fee is $117.95. For that you receive Protected Genealogy, Genealogy Back Office, Data Storage, Portfolio Insertion, 2010 Enrollment Fee and Monitium Success System configuration. After that, your monthly Monitium cost will be $67.95 BUT this cost will be waived after you have sponsored 4 associates and you maintain that minimum of 4 who remain active.

Then, there is the monthly cost of joining the MLMs. I guess because of “buying in bulk” pricing, each individual MLM that you join through Monitium will cost you $30 BUT, as long as at least 4 members of your Monitium downline follow you into the recommended MLM, your monthly auto-ship will be waived as well! And, honestly, if you can’t bring 4 people into any program then this industry isn’t for you! So, bottom line is that you shouldn’t have a monthly expense which is very cool!

Can You Make  Money With Monitium?

As best I can tell, you will make the same money if you join the selected MLMs through Monitium as if you were to join them separately on your own. Monitium is a Membership Based marketing platform that will allow you to recruit into 1 company but be involved in multiple. Basically an MLM sales funnel! The examples that they use on their site is that you will earn 4x as much as you would if you just joined 1 MLM, which indicates that they initially plan to join 4 different companies. Probably with different pay plans. I cannot disagree with this strategy as that is EXACTLY how I have set up my business!

Obviously, the whole idea is to build your Monitium downline which, in turn, will help you to build your downline in multiple MLM companies. Pretty cool idea…BUT what if you do not know how to recruit people AT ALL? How will you build your Monitium team so that you can reap the rewards? Here’s your solution…
