Automatic Online Profits – The Real Deal or Scam?

I signed up for Automatic Online Profits right when it went into pre-launch. I did not sign up for it because I thought I could really generate “automatic” profits because that’s just hype that unfortunately many people believe. Think about it…if you could make tens of thousands of dollars for doing absolutely no work, don’t you think everyone would do it? Nobody would ever do any work, right? NOTE: I LEFT AOP WHEN I REALIZED IT WAS A SCAM IN DECEMBER 2009
Anyway, the reason that I joined was the compensation plan. You get paid 4 different ways:
- Direct Referrals — $60 per month for Smart Choice members and $15 per month for Basic Members
- Matrix — a couple of dollars per month for your 2×15 matrix
- Bonus Pool — share in the bonus pool depending on the percentage of business you contribute each month
- Infinity Downline — make a few bucks for every members that joins after you (the exact amount is still undetermined)
- Online Traffic Spinner — sounds like a fancy name for a giant company rotator, which is fine. I’ll take any extra advertising I can get!
The 2 different membership levels are as follows:
- Smart Choice Membership: $149.95/month. You get 2 CoOp marketing shares each month plus your link will be broadcast to 50,000 business opportunity seeker leads.
- Basic Membership: $39.95/month. Just a basic membership you receive in any business opportunity. The neat thing is that you can be a basic member and you are still paid $60 for every Smart Choice member you refer!
My commissions are showing in the back office, and I’m on the first page of the LeaderBoard for November. This program is for real and not a scam (assuming commissions are paid lol!). The one gripe that I and many others have is the lack of communication from the “AOP TEAM”. They are trying to make everything seem “automated” — which admittedly is gimmicky — and the lack of human communication has hurt the upgrade rate in my opinion. Time will tell how long the program will last but a lot of time and effort were put into the website. It’s very professionally done. The first commissions are scheduled to be paid on 12/15. Once they are paid, I think that a lot of people will feel a lot better and the join rate will increase.
Automatic Online Profits offers a lot of advertising resources and marketing education, which will really help out the “newbie”. The compensation plan will appeal to more seasoned marketers who only have to pay $39.95/month. It’s a win-win.

Neither, Ron.
Steave I am a little confused, are you promoting AutomatedListProfits or is the same as Automatic Online Profits.
I embarked on this scheme and its not all its cracked up to be. Basically, when you sign up you are given website templates to sell e books and similar non hardware based items. The templates you get with the basic sign-up are awful and you are constantly reminded to upgrade to the pro package because the websites are better and you get the option of having up to ten. Its very misleading to claim you can make the sums advertised as the basic websites(2 of them) are very poor. You will also run this business via paypal. I calculated that you’d have to spend around £90 to get the full pro package. Oh I forgot its all franchised to an American outfit called automated home profits. Whatever you do pay by Paypal if you want to get involved- I managed to get a full refund via paypals dispute service because automatedhomeprofits totally ignored my requests for a refund.
Hey Syedar,
Pick up my “7 Day Bootcamp” at My Facebook FanPage. It’ll show you how to properly set up your blog and how to start generating traffic to it. I hope that helps!
Hi,Steve
My name is syedar, I’m still new in the blog.
Can you give me some ideas, what is a blog that has the potential to earn money and how to promote my blog?
I have some views from you about this ..
Thank you for helping me ..
Take care of yourself,
Syedar
My biggest frustration was the lack of customer service and not knowing who ownership was. There are plenty of legitimate home businesses out there – there’s no need to suffer with a scam! I hope you get your money back, Leigh.
This comany is a scam > i have paid for both automated home profits aswel as there instand customers , i have sent many messages for my refund as it states 60 days , they have not replied. Im going to send them a letter via post aswel as call them , but as yet no refund as promised on there website
Thanks for your answer, Steve. It’s good to have a point of view from someone who isn’t in the company.
I will stay away from the claims to fast money. I won’t let my guard down again.
Take care,
Joscelyn
I have seen the SOC product and am very impressed, Joscelyn. I don’t know all the ins and outs of the business opportunity but have only heard good things so I think you picked a good one. Stay away from anything that claims fast money with no work…because it doesn’t exist!
Good luck with everything,
Steve
Hi Steve,
I’m so glad I read this before spending more money and time on Automated Home Profits. I’m normally so sceptical about these kind of things, but I have bills to pay, like everyone, and I was drawn in by the “make money quickly” factor. I know it takes time to build up an income.
Have you looked into SendOutCards? At least this program does move stock, and I can see that there is money to be made (over time). I’m not trying to sell you anything, but I do want your honest opinion of what you think. I’ve read some of your blogs and want to know what you think.
Thanks again, I’m going to try to get a refund from AOP (not holding my breath).
Joscelyn (Australia)
Right on, Suzie! Run, don’t walk, away. Any business that “Promises” profits without work is most likely just an overhyped scam!
Steve
Believe my Automated Home Profit or Homewebsitecentre is a scam. They advertiser make money instantly. Well I haven’t made anything.
The automated websites never do go online let alone viral. Its all a hoax…Anyone reading this don’t fall for them, their LIARS conning you up for your money…DON’T Give them the opportunity!
Aamir,
I am not involved with AOP. I will send you an email.
Hi Steve;
This is Aamir. I live in Bangalore, India. I have few “questions” about Automatic Online Profits;
1. Can I work from India.
2. And if yes, how much in dollars do i need to pay to join and start working.
3. Finally, how do you pay what we have earned if allowed to work from India.
Steve I will be waiting anxiously for your reply to this, and hope all goes well.
Thanks Steve for readings this.
Take Care,
Warm Regards
Pyxism
i have been ripped off scammed and cheated by internet gurus.does anyone know a good bbb accredited internet business that is worthwhile and does make money?
Steve, thank you for posting my comments.
I, too, was very impressed with their initial thrust. The program had a very unique twist with the company-directed marketing and the infinity bonus.
I was as excited initially as for any new program in quite some time.
But the dishonesty, failure to adequately respond to support tickets, constant delays, failure to pay earned commissions to lots of folks… and obvious money grabs were just too much.
Herb
Go for it.
Steve
Hey Herb,
I just saw and approved your comment. I’ve become disillusioned like you since writing my original post. While I was paid my commissions ($400) on 12/16 (a day late mind you!), I am aggravated by the constant delays, new charges (the $29.95 for the infinity downline that was sprung on us), and the lack of communication from the folks running the program. I’m hanging in to see what I make on 1/15…should be $170 + Infinity Downline (says $378) and Bonus Pool. We shall see and then I think I’m outta there. I’ve lost half my team because of these issues and the program won’t last with that kind of attrition rate anyway. Too bad, because I thought the idea was a good one and the website was very well done.
Steve
Steve, I’m one who wasn’t paid.
I purchased the smart choice for $149.95 and two coops for $25 each. Though “locking in” the coop price at $25 was hyped, never saw a way to get it after the cutoff date… the only option was a $50 coop purchase. Support tickets asking how to get $25 coop went unanswered.
I had numerous sales of the smart choice/ basic memberships in November so the commissions should have been paid 12/15, but weren’t.
And… the late arriving requirement for another $29.95 to “lock in your commissions” was nothing other than a late money grab from the folks who had more than the $29.95 coming and therefore they felt compelled to pay it so they wouldn’t lose out on their anticipated commissions. That $29.95 was paid by most as a “fear of loss,” one of the strongest motivations that people have.
Think about it… you purchase a membership for $149.95 and then AOP comes along a week before the promised December 15 pay day and hits folks up for another newly-announced $29.95!! Don’t you think that smells? It was a “fear of loss” money grab!
So I paid the $149.95, two marketing coops at $25 each and the $29.95 to lock in my matrix commissions ($229.90 total)… and I’ve received NOTHING.
Numerous questions to support were unanswered or skirted around w/o a direct answer.
The last word to me re commissions was that all my earnings were in December and would be paid Jan. 15… if I paid my membership and $29.95 again! SCAM!!
And so now… because I stated to them in a support ticket that I was due and qualified for the Dec. 15 payment (all of my membership sales were in November) and I wasn’t paying again until I was paid… guess what?… I was suspended and locked out of my website for non-payment!!
I will post everywhere I can… these folks are money grabbers, liars and fail to appreciate people who use their time and treasure to help them build their rotten company. I do not expect them to survive… I believe based upon their history that they’ll just try to fade away quietly w/o communicating with folks.
Thanks for giving me a space to vent… it’ll be interesting to see if you post it since you’re still defending them.
Have a superb day,
Herb
I did get paid, Richard. They paid out the direct referral commissions on 12/15. The Infinity Downline and Bonus Pool commissions are being paid out on 1/15. I don’t like the fact that they keep hitting us with additional fees. I’m hanging in while I’m ahead but after that we’ll see!
Steve
My commissions weren’t paid. I think this is a scam.
Were you paid?
