MLM Lead Generation Tip #1

Business Cards or Drop Cards. It amazes me how many “marketers” don’t have business cards printed up as part of their marketing plan. If you go to work as a sales person or executive for a conventional business, they’ll give you business cards. Business cards are a very inexpensive marketing tool that should be considered a requirement. You can either hand them out OR just leave them around town. This should not be your only marketing strategy but should definitely be something any network marketer does when they start a home business. MLM Lead Generation Tip #2

Lead Scraper. I wish I had known about this tool a year ago. This simple piece of software allows you to “scrape” the internet for names, emails, and phone numbers of any niche or company you target. For example, scrape for a particular MLM company and you’ll have an immediate list of 100s or 1000s of network marketers you can begin to build a relationship with. You’ll never be without leads again! There are a lot of lead scrapers out there, many are very expensive. I use one that’s inexpensive and gets the job done. Take a look HERE.

Blogging. Having a blog is, in my opinion, imperative if you want to succeed by marketing your home based business on the internet. Personally, I think it’s also a good idea for offline marketers in today’s day and age. It provides your prospect with affirmation that you are a professional and that you take your business seriously. In addition, through article & video marketing and other traffic generation strategies, your blog can become a lead magnet and help your business grow exponentially by providing you with free, targeted leads. MLM Lead Generation Tip #4

Pay Per Click. I can’t tell you how often I get asked “I understand what a lead capture page is for but how are people going to see it?” The answer is marketing! If you’re using a lead capture page, you’re on the right track. But, you need to get it in front of enough eyes to start generating leads. Network marketing is a numbers game. 1 proven strategy that provides immediate results (and does not have to be super expensive) is Pay Per Click. Personally, I run PPC campaigns on Yahoo/Bing (forget about Google if you’re a network marketer) and what they call “2nd Tier PPC” sites (sites that offer PPC advertising on sites other than search engines. Learn some simple PPC strategies, set your budget to what you feel comfortable spending, and go for it. Tweak as necessary.

MLM Lead Generation Tip #5

Email Marketing. Email marketing is a very inexpensive and effective way to generate MLM leads. There are numerous sites specifically for network marketers such as Viral URL and ListQuik, and there are ezines (online magazines) that will allow you to email their subscriber base. Personally, I’ve found that MLM leads you generate with email marketing may be better suited for either training products or lower cost business opportunities, but you’ll still be generating leads and building relationships and that’s the name of the game!
