I’m now going through Module 3 of Ray Higdon’s Master Sponsoring Series which you really should pick up if you’re serious about earning in the network marketing industry. There are plenty of courses out there on lead generation and different marketing strategies but very few that provide real world lessons on becoming a Master Recruiter.

Let’s face it…you may very well love the products your company sells but the money is still made by recruiting other distributors into the business. That is how the MLM business model is designed. Plus, in all honesty, it’s much easier to find people who are open to the idea of making extra money than it is to find people interested in purchasing the latest overpriced juice or lotion. Think about it!

So in the lesson I’m listening to today, he’s covering Mirroring and Pacing. I’ve learned this many times in the past but it’s one of those things that if you don’t put it into practice it ends up getting back burnered and forgotten. It’s one thing to know something and another to put it into practice. Anyway…

What Is Mirroring and Pacing?

In it’s simplest form, it’s using the same body language and speech patterns of the person your talking to. There are 3 categories of people:

1. Visual
2. Auditory
3. Touchy Feely

The more you “act” like the person or people you’re speaking with – both with your physical mannerisms and speech patterns, the greater chance you have of “building repore” and recruiting that person into your business.

VISUAL EXAMPLE: “If it LOOKS GOOD to you, then you should get signed up today because…”
AUDITORY EXAMPLE: “If this RESONATES with you, then you should get signed up today because…”
TOUCHY EXAMPLE: “IF this just FEELS RIGHT, then you should get signed up today because…”

The above 3 examples are also called “Direct Commands” and can be used via email, webinars, or face to face and are very powerful when used properly. I’m starting to implement these now so that they’ll eventually become second nature. Try them out for yourself and see how many more people you sponsor!
