I wanted to piggy back on my post last week regarding the advantages of using a blog pop-up to generate more MLM leads for your network marketing business. To show you how powerful using a pop-up CAN be if done properly, below is a snapshot of my Aweber account from today (12/7/11). You can’t see that I generated a total of 32 leads yesterday (5.05% of total traffic of 633 visitors – see below for my eCourse on how to convert your blog into a Lead Generation Machine!)…BUT you can see that 18 of them came from my blog pop-up! That’s 56% of my total leads!

So I wanted to lay-out how you can create a POP-UP OFFER THAT YOUR VISITORS CAN’T REFUSE:

1. Your Offer Should Be FREE (you’re goal is to generate MLM leads with your pop-up, not sales)

2. Your Offer Needs to Be FRESH (use words like “Brand New!”, “Just Updated”, “Just Released”, etc.). People like to have the latest greatest stuff!

3. If You Have Your Own Product (ie. Bootcamp, EBook, etc) that works best in my experience because people are always curious to see what others are doing.

4. IMPORTANT…Make Your Offer Very Targeted To Your Audience. For example, my target audience is network marketers so I’m not going to offer a free “Dog Training” book. While it might be the best dog training book in the world, it won’t generate a ton of leads from my visitors because they’re network marketers looking for “network marketing information”.

It’s pretty much that simple. Test your message to see what pulls best. As I mentioned in my previous post on “Success with Pop-Ups” that you can read HERE, I recommend setting your pop-up delay to 5 seconds (it waits 5 seconds before displaying your ad to your visitor). It’s increased my MLM Leads generation since I implemented it.

I wanted to talk to you today about a really simple way increase your MLM Lead Generation from your website traffic AND I’ll also share with you a revelation that I just discovered yesterday!

A Really Simple Way To Generate MLM Leads

Let’s face it, MLM’ers are a curious lot. We’re always looking for new ways to generate leads and make money. I want to share today how you can really SKYROCKET the leads you generate from your blog or website, as you can tell by the title of this article post, by using a simple Pop-Up on your website. I had stayed away from using a pop-up on my blog until about a year ago because I was afraid of annoying my visitors. As soon as I installed the plug-in (I personally use PopUp Domination, you can read my review HERE), I immediately saw an increase in my daily MLM Lead Generation or opt-ins. A pretty substantial jump in fact. This plug-in alone has been averaging me about 8 leads a day. Not bad, right?

I agree and I was psyched! The plug-in allows you to set the delay to whatever you want. What this means is you can set the time delay from when a visitor first lands on your website to when the pop-up “pops up”. I had this set to 10 seconds based on research I had done. Some people have their pop-up appear immediately but I find this to be obnoxious so I haven’t tested that nor do I plan to. BUT…

Here’s My Revelation…

Yesterday, for some reason, I decided to lower my delay from 10 seconds to 5 seconds and saw my optins jump by 75%! I went from 8 leads to 14 from my pop-up! I guess you should always test and tweak I’ll continue to monitor this to make sure that it’s not an anomaly but I have a strong feeling it’s not. I’m on pace for the same results already today.

If you market with a blog and spend the time to drive traffic, make sure you’re capturing your share of leads. Ultimately, the reason we do this is to make money and leads are the first step in that process! If you don’t use a pop-up, get one AND set the delay to 5 seconds. As serious network marketers, we are always looking for new MLM lead generation or advertising resources – that are cost effective and that WORK! I’m no different. There are tons of different marketing strategies that one can use to build their network marketing business and I’m going to share one with you today that I just learned about but have not tried yet personally although I plan to. Thanks to my membership in My Lead System Pro (you can check it out HERE, I have access to top-notch training 24/7 by some of the top marketers in the industry. This particular training was presented by one of MLSP’s leaders, Adam Chandler – check out his blog HERE.

This network marketing prospecting strategy is cheap, simple and easily duplicated (essential for MLM business building). The nice thing about it is that it doesn’t involve the internet or technical skills whatsoever! It involves using Cheap Yard Signs, a voicemail message, and your company’s presentation. That’s it!

How To “Cheap Sign” Your Way To Success

Step #1: Order your signs (these are called Realtor Signs or Yard Signs). A site that sells them is www.cheapsigns.com. Looks like you can get 100 shipped with the stakes to place in the ground for under $400. I’m sure there are plenty of other places that sell these signs as well so do your due diligence. 100 signs will go along way. You want to place these signs around town in high-traffic’d areas – busy intersections, highway on-ramps, etc.

Step #2: Adam recommended a YELLOW background with BLACK wording for the best response. Here’s an example of the sign that he recommends using…

Step #3: You’ll need to get an 800# or 888#. Personally, I use www.Kall8.com. It costs $2.00/month for the number and they bill per minute at a very low rate. We’re talking peanuts here. Adam recommended www.evoice.com.

Step #4: You’ll want to “weed out” your true prospects by sending them to a voicemail message so you don’t waste your time talking to tire-kickers and people who have nothing better to do than call numbers on signs! Here’s Jeffrey Combs “90 Second Voicemail Script” (which I use for another project) that’s simple and works:

Step #5: Follow-up with the people who sound like they’re legitimate prospects. Rinse and Repeat!

It doesn’t get much easier than that! I’ll let you know how I make out. I have personally never done any local recruiting but know that I need to. This is the perfect strategy to start with. MLM Lead Generation Expectations

The answer to this question is so vitally important yet gets swept under the rug by most network marketers. Kind of like the ostrich with his head underground. People join business with blinders on and don’t think about what activity it will actually take to make their business profitable. MLM Lead Generation and Traffic are the 2 major reasons for success or failure in network marketing. Unfortunately, most people either do not understand this concept or choose to ignore it.

When just getting started with an MLM opportunity, most people are told to make a list of their friends & family, invite them to view a presentation, and follow-up with them. Some will join and most will not (this business is a numbers game). It’s what happens after you’ve gone through your friends and family list that separates the success stories from the disappointed and frustrated.

MLM Lead Generation (ie. marketing) is a skill that must be learned if you expect to reach the income levels you are “hoping” for when you get involved in a home business in the first place. If you don’t learn how to “market” your business, you won’t even make $500 per month. That’s just the truth. What type of results should you be looking for?

With your MLM Lead Generation, you should be targeting a minimum of 10 leads per day (this is a bare minimum). DO NOT IGNORE THIS NUMBER! If you are not generating AT LEAST 10 targeted leads per day, you just will not have enough activity to build a successful business. Your marketing needs to be consistent, day in and day out. This is NOT easy. It’s been said that you should be talking to 6-10 people every day about your business – finding people who are looking to make extra income. Luckily, with the internet and online marketing, this is much easier than the old days of hanging out in shopping malls trying to hand out business cards and flyers!

It really wasn’t until I started to generate a consistent 20 + leads per day that I saw my business increase to levels that would allow me to work this business full-time.

You need traffic to Generate MLM Leads. Simply put, you need enough eyes to see your lead capture page and be interested enough to enter their name & email address for more information. How many eyes? It depends on how your lead capture page converts but, if using a cold marketing approach where you do not know the people you are prospecting, a 10% conversion rate is solid (this number could be higher or lower depending on your marketing strategies). This means that you will generate 10 leads for every 100 who see your capture page. So, if you’re shooting for 10 leads a day, that means that 100 people will need to see your capture page daily. Do you think you can do this?

3 More Simple MLM Lead Generation Tips To Help Build Your Home Based Business

We all know that LEADS & TRAFFIC are the lifeblood of any MLM home business and the biggest challenge for network marketers. If we don’t have leads, we don’t have a business. It’s that simple!

Be Accessible. I cannot tell you how many leads AND sign-ups I’ve received just because I make myself accessible. Just because I answer my phone and call people back. Or respond to emails. I mean, you can see what I look like (for better or for worse ), find my real email address and cell phone number, connect with me on Skype, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and many other places. AND, I answer my phone! Don’t hide behind a picture of your dog or no picture at all. Why wouldn’t you answer your phone or call back prospects? This “tip” is really common sense but you can really set yourself apart from a majority of your competition just by being “human” and having some business sense!

MLM Lead Generation Tip #2

Guaranteed Visitors. There are advertising sites out there that will Guarantee you traffic to your website (views) from a targeted demographic that you select. This type of advertising is very simple to set up and is extremely low cost. Another key is, because it’s so cheap and simple, it’s duplicatable by anyone (ie. your downline!). It’s not the highest converting form of advertising out there but it will generate cheap, targeted leads for you. Take a look at my favorite HERE.

Social Media. Social Media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and others) is where it’s at online nowadays. If you are marketing online, you absolutely MUST at least have a presence on these sites and be relatively active. I’ll tell you from personal experience, and I am by no means a social media rock star (whatever that is lol!) that it works. These sites offer a tremendous opportunity to network and build relationships with like-minded individuals. I’ve made sales from social media sites and consistently generate really solid leads.
