MLM Training: The Big Problem With Attraction Marketing!

When I first got involved in the network marketing industry in 2009, after my mortgage business sank like the Titanic, I learned a marketing strategy that I wish I knew when I was in the mortgage business called Attraction Marketing. The primary idea behind Attraction Marketing is to get prospects “chasing” you to join your business rather than you having to chase down your warm market and other uninterested prospects who run from you when they see you coming!
Since I am somebody who doesn’t like to chase anybody, this Attraction Marketing concept really appealed to me and I dove in head first to learn a few marketing strategies that would help me to build my brand. It is my feeling that if you set the foundation for your business in the beginning, you will ultimately have a long-term profitable and sustainable business.
The one BIG PROBLEM with Attraction Marketing is it DOES NOT PRODUCE IMMEDIATE RESULTS. It takes time to get some traction and start to see some results in your business, at least in my case and others that I see, and this causes some otherwise potentially successful marketers to quit. Let’s face it, we all get involved in a home based business to make money and many get involved as a last resort when their backs are against the wall financially. Unfortunately, most people just don’t want to spend the time if results aren’t seen immediately.
Would you take 4-6 months to set up a blog and learn some very basic marketing techniques if it meant that you would start to generate 25 leads per day for FREE on auto-pilot after 6 months? Of course you would (I hope!), but I find that most people aren’t willing to spend the 6 months to get there. It takes 4 years to graduate from college. It takes a few years, typically, to get into profit in a typical brick and mortar business. You’ll experience positive network marketing results much faster but, if you aren’t coming from an entrepreneurial background you need to learn how to run a business and the attraction marketing strategy is one of the best and least expensive ways that I know to cut down on the network marketing failure rate.

MLM Training – FB Attraction Marketing Strategies
Facebook is the 2nd most traffic’d site on the internet behind Google and for good reason. It’s a social media site that allows you to connect with your friends, re-connect with long lost friends, and stay in touch with your family. A brilliant site really. And, with all the traffic comes tremendous opportunity for marketers. What I’m going to discuss in today’s MLM Training is not Facebook Pay Per Click but just how to communicate effectively with other marketers and make connections that could pay off for you in your business and bank account ultimately.
Many times when you join a business opportunity, one of the recommended strategies that the company gives you for building your business is to “just share the opportunity” with your friends on Facebook. While that can work, what I see is most people, mostly newer marketers, basically “puking” their opportunity all over the place. What does this mean? People just post their link NUMEROUS TIMES PER DAY and that just doesn’t work. All it does is annoy your friends.
First of all, you have to know that it’s only your friends who are seeing your activity. I see some marketers with only 50 friends posting their link 5 times per day! How does that make you look professional? Hint: it doesn’t.
So you need to build up your facebook friends with other network marketers because let’s face it, your Aunt Sally probably isn’t interested in the greatest compensation plan ever created in the history of MLM! MLM Training Tip: The BEST target market for you is people already involved with network marketing. You do this by connecting with other like-minded networkers – most will accept your friend request because it helps to build their friends list as well.
How Do You Generated Leads On Facebook?
Network marketing is all about “networking”. Even if we’re marketing online, we’re still in a people business and the more people we can build relationships with, the more success we’ll ultimately see. One of the best ways I know to build a relationship is more of a passive approach. You don’t have to spend much time on FB before you’ll receive an unsolicited message from someone asking you to take a look at their business opportunity. Below is a realistic FB Message Conversation that WILL help you to generate leads (especially if you’re an MLSP member or have another similar type value-based program you’re involved with):
Prospect: Hey Steve. Not sure if you’ve heard yet but we’ve just launched and everybody’s making money already. This is really unbelievable! Check it out and let me know what you think!
Me: That looks great and I wish you all the best. Besides Facebook, what other marketing strategies are you using to generate leads?
Prospect: I just got started. Really, all I’m doing is Facebook. What else should I do?

I don’t know how many sign-ups I’ve gotten using this approach but it’s A LOT! Most marketers are new and don’t have any idea what they are doing. Are You Generating AT LEAST 10 MLM Leads Per Day?

The answer to this question is so vitally important yet gets swept under the rug by most network marketers. Kind of like the ostrich with his head underground. People join business with blinders on and don’t think about what activity it will actually take to make their business profitable. MLM Lead Generation and Traffic are the 2 major reasons for success or failure in network marketing. Unfortunately, most people either do not understand this concept or choose to ignore it.
When just getting started with an MLM opportunity, most people are told to make a list of their friends & family, invite them to view a presentation, and follow-up with them. Some will join and most will not (this business is a numbers game). It’s what happens after you’ve gone through your friends and family list that separates the success stories from the disappointed and frustrated.
MLM Lead Generation (ie. marketing) is a skill that must be learned if you expect to reach the income levels you are “hoping” for when you get involved in a home business in the first place. If you don’t learn how to “market” your business, you won’t even make $500 per month. That’s just the truth. What type of results should you be looking for?
With your MLM Lead Generation, you should be targeting a minimum of 10 leads per day (this is a bare minimum). DO NOT IGNORE THIS NUMBER! If you are not generating AT LEAST 10 targeted leads per day, you just will not have enough activity to build a successful business. Your marketing needs to be consistent, day in and day out. This is NOT easy. It’s been said that you should be talking to 6-10 people every day about your business – finding people who are looking to make extra income. Luckily, with the internet and online marketing, this is much easier than the old days of hanging out in shopping malls trying to hand out business cards and flyers!
It really wasn’t until I started to generate a consistent 20 + leads per day that I saw my business increase to levels that would allow me to work this business full-time.
You need traffic to Generate MLM Leads. Simply put, you need enough eyes to see your lead capture page and be interested enough to enter their name & email address for more information. How many eyes? It depends on how your lead capture page converts but, if using a cold marketing approach where you do not know the people you are prospecting, a 10% conversion rate is solid (this number could be higher or lower depending on your marketing strategies). This means that you will generate 10 leads for every 100 who see your capture page. So, if you’re shooting for 10 leads a day, that means that 100 people will need to see your capture page daily. Do you think you can do this?

What are the Best MLM Affiliate Programs?
Not only what are the Best MLM Affiliate Programs but WHY are they the best? It’s very important for you to understand why you should be promoting one program over the other, or one product over another. This can make or break your overall income and be the difference of working from home FULL-TIME or PART-TIME.
I want you to know that the information I’ll be providing you with has been learned some by research, some by luck, and mostly from trial and error!
First of all, there’s 2 types of MLM Affiliate Marketing.
1. Clickbank: Probably the most popular, you can visit the internet’s largest affiliate product marketplace, grab someone else’s product, and sell it to earn a 1-time commission. Generally, this is done with “mini blogs”. Affiliate marketers will create a blog for each product and try to rank that blog in Google or do PPC advertising. I’ve done this before and made a whopping $360. While it wasn’t a tremendous amount of work, it wasn’t for me. There’s no interaction with your customers and the sales only provide a one-time income.
2. MLM Affiliate Productivity Tools: This is where it’s at for me. Why? Because they help me to generate leads, make money, AND build my network marketing business at the same time. Maybe most importantly, these types of programs provide you with a “residual” monthly income. If you’re a network marketer or MLM’er, pay close attention!

How would you like it if, through the sale of affiliate products, you could basically build yourself a monthly base salary? You’ll know you’ll have income coming in each month (just like MLM). This is what I’m talking about here. You do this by offering products that other network marketers need to run their businesses – autoresponders, hosting, marketing training, etc. This affiliate marketing strategy provides you with “multiple streams of income” that you need to build your income. AND, you’re not constantly “pitching” the product of the week and looking like a snake oil salesman!
